On Tuesday, 18 November, the very first Cordeo Community Day for the Education Sector took place. It was a moment to reflect together on developments in brand management, exchange experiences, and gain inspiration with colleagues from educational institutions working with the Cordeo Brand Portal. The day turned out exactly as we had hoped: open, energetic, and valuable for everyone involved in communication within education.
During the sessions, it became clear that many educational institutions face similar challenges. Topics included the balance between creative freedom and brand consistency, the use of external tools by lecturers or teams, and questions around access to the brand portal. These conversations sparked a strong sense of recognition and offered new perspectives.
We also explored a recurring question: how do you allow room for variation while still presenting yourself as a single recognisable organisation? Findability, usability, and clear guidelines play a crucial role in achieving that balance.
The discussions also addressed everyday realities such as high workloads, cleaning up drafts, managing large numbers of users, and privacy considerations around imagery. Many of these topics directly relate to how Cordeo is used within organisations, and how we continue to develop the platform to make this work easier and more efficient.
AI was a recurring theme throughout the day. Educational institutions are increasingly experimenting with AI for text, visuals, and internal processes. During the customer day, several opportunities for future AI functionalities within Cordeo were discussed, including smart template recommendations and improved support for accessibility. At the same time, the conversation around quality, authenticity, and control remains essential, providing a solid foundation for further exploration.
One of the highlights of the day was the presentation by Maran de Boer from NHL Stenden. She shared how the institution uses Cordeo at scale, offering insight into how an extensive template library, clear brand guidelines, and strong internal collaboration contribute to efficient brand management. Her presentation was a source of inspiration for many attendees.
The insights from this first edition are being incorporated into our roadmap. Our ongoing focus includes:
smarter and more efficient management
increased ease of use
improved onboarding and guidance
new possibilities for AI-supported features
We plan to repeat the Cordeo Customer Day for other sectors as well. We look forward to continuing to work together on the future of brand management. In education, and beyond.
