Cordeo Community: in conversation about brand management and AI

Following the success of our customer day for the education sector, we hosted another Cordeo Community event on April 21. This time, we welcomed organisations from healthcare, (semi-)government, and housing associations. A day focused on connecting, sharing experiences, and looking ahead.

With a varied program, from vision and roadmap to customer cases and interactive discussions, there was plenty of room for valuable insights and real-world experiences.

What we heard from the field

The event was all about learning together. Through a series of statements, participants discussed the challenges they face in communication and brand management.

Several key insights kept coming back:

  • Communication is no longer limited to one department
Employees are increasingly creating their own communication materials. This brings speed and engagement, but also requires clear guidelines and support.
  • Freedom only works with direction
Organisations are searching for the right balance between flexibility and consistency. Without clear guidelines, communication becomes fragmented, but too much control slows things down.
  • The shift toward brand-driven communication is underway
Many organisations are strengthening their brand, with clearer guidelines and visual identity. The real challenge lies in embedding this across the entire organisation.
  • The challenges are shared across sectors
Whether in healthcare, government, or housing: the challenges are remarkably similar. That’s what makes sharing experiences so valuable.

Real-world examples

Customer cases brought these topics to life.

ViVa! Zorggroep showed what happens when communication is brought closer to the organisation. By creating materials such as newsletters internally rather than outsourcing them, they gain speed and more control over their output.

This approach also leads to significant cost savings, while improving collaboration and involvement across the organization.

The approach of the municipality of Ridderkerk was also shared. They use Cordeo as a central brand portal where templates, assets, and materials are brought together in one place.

This not only creates more overview, but also delivers clear benefits. There is less reliance on external designers, no additional costs for digital accessibility, and built-in workflows ensure that everything aligns with brand guidelines before publication.

One of their key recommendations: appoint a clear point of contact within the organisation. Having someone lead the implementation and ongoing development makes the difference between a tool that exists and one that is truly used.

AI: not hype, but not optional either

AI was a major topic of discussion, with varying perspectives. Some organisations are still cautious, while others are actively experimenting.

Many organisations agree: AI is a support tool. Not a replacement, but a way to work faster and more efficiently.

Think of:

  • rewriting content faster
  • improving tone of voice
  • working more efficiently with content

At the same time, one thing was clear: human and authentic communication remains essential.

Looking ahead

The customer day showed that organszations are in the middle of a transition. Communication is evolving, as is the way brands are managed.

By sharing experiences and looking ahead together, we help each other keep moving forward.

We look back on a successful day full of inspiration and valuable conversations. Thanks to everyone who joined and contributed.
