Cordeo sponsors Britten Youth String Orchestra
The Britten Youth String Orchestra offers young and talented string players from the eastern part of the Netherlands a chance to develop their musical talent to a higher level and to acquaint themselves with all facets of a string orchestra. The orchestra’s conductor Loes Visser inspires the young musicians and helps them on their way to a successful career in music.
Cordeo feels it is important that young people are given the opportunity to strive for excellence and that they are stimulated to do so in a creative way. This is the main reason why Cordeo sponsors the Britten Youth String Orchestra. Working together in music to achieve the best possible performance for the audience is like building and implementing software with the goal to bring customers the best solution possible.
The Britten not only performs the most important pieces from the orchestra canon, but also music from all style periods: Baroque, classical, Romantic, 20th Century and even music from modern day composers. The Britten Youth String Orchestra regularly performs with internationally known soloists like pianist Daniël Wayenberg, cellist Gavriel Lipkin and violinist Carla Leurs. Every year a CD is published with well-known and lesser known pieces.
